Zaida Zamora has been involved in music both as a performer and educator for many years. Her experiences as a performer have allowed her the opportunity to work with several notable conductors from West Coast to East Coast to the New York Philharmonic to conductors in Italy and Germany. Ms.Zamora commenced her college education at Del Mar College in Corpus Christi. She completed her Bachelor of Music Education All-Level Degree at California State University, Fullerton and then earned her Masters of Music in Conducting at Westminster Choir College/Rider University (Princeton New Jersey) Through the conservatory she attended Westphalischelandeskirkenmusikschulle in Germany. She has since taught at a number of school districts: McAllen, Laredo, New Braunfels, Wimberley, and San Marcos.While in Laredo, Ms. Zamora founded and directed the Laredo Community Chorale (subsequently known as the South Texas Chorale) which served as the choral adjunct to the Laredo Philharmonic Orchestra. She was also named assistant conductor of the Laredo Philarmonic Orchestra. Throughout her years of studies and after, Ms. Zamora has served as soloist and conductor/director in a variety of positions: teaching K-college, singing, playing, and directing in churches and in the community. She enjoys encouraging and inspiring the love of music in her students, both as individuals and as members of groups or ensembles.
